This Privacy Policy explains how ClearPath ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our debt-elimination application available at app.whatsmysurplus.com and our website at whatsmysurplus.com (together, the "Service").

We built ClearPath to help you get out of debt. To do that, we need to handle some of your financial information. We take that responsibility seriously. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We collect only what we need to run the Service and improve it.

We do not use your financial data to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. We do not use your data to train AI models on your behalf or anyone else's.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We share data only with the service providers we need to run ClearPath, and only the minimum needed for them to do their job.

We may also share information if required by law (subpoena, court order, government request), or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ClearPath, our users, or the public.

If ClearPath is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. You will be notified before any such transfer.

4. How we protect your information

We use industry-standard practices to keep your data safe:

No system is perfectly secure. We work hard to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

5. Your choices and rights

Access and correction

You can view and edit your financial information directly in the app at any time. To request a copy of all data we hold about you in a portable format, email kingzayya84@gmail.com.

Deletion

You can delete your account at any time. Deletion removes all your financial data, AI Advisor conversation history, attribution records, and Plaid connections within 30 days. Stripe transaction records may be retained for the period required by tax and payment-card industry rules.

Disconnect Plaid

Pro users can disconnect their bank at any time from the Settings page. Disconnecting revokes our access immediately and archives any Plaid-sourced data.

Opt out of analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, which does not set cookies or persistent identifiers. If you prefer not to be counted in our aggregate analytics, you can use a browser extension or browser setting that blocks the analytics script.

If you're in California

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of "sale" of personal information. ClearPath does not sell personal information.

If you're in the EU/UK

If you reside in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including access, rectification, erasure, portability, and the right to object to processing. To exercise these rights, email kingzayya84@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:

ClearPath is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact us at kingzayya84@gmail.com and we will delete it.

8. International users

ClearPath is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and post a prominent notice in the app at least 7 days before the changes take effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this policy will be updated.
